*Who I Am*

I don’t know that I can tell you all about me in an ‘about’ post.   That’s pretty much what my entire blog is about.   Life as I see it, hear it and think about it.

So much about the world and the people in it fascinate me.

But a little summary about me:   I’m in my forties.   I come from a large family.  My past, which includes my ancestry, is always something I like to revisit and relearn from.  My present keeps me very busy.   My future is something I look forward to and keeps me focused on being as healthy as I can be.  What matters most:  my children, my greatchildren, my husband, my family, my country, Ireland, biking, TKD, kayaking, food, Tim Horton’s, Dairy Queen, Coffee (though I am not a good coffee snob), tea, Diet Coke, friends, home, and moments.    I live for those moments.

And…..I have seven siblings.  A bazillion aunts, uncles and cousins.

Anything that is said to me, anything that I see, anything that I hear or read about, or have crazy thoughts about are fodder for my blog.

I love to read.   Please share your blog with me if you have one, or your comments will do!

Thanks Bridgesburning! I might be lucky enough to fall upon a witticism every once in awhile! Thanks for reading! I shall check out your blog as well. :)

  3. Mary says:

I beg to differ my Irish friend, you are blessed with the dry and frank Irish wit. You call it like it is and use the written word to express what is true. I like it!!!

  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! Hope it is the best day ever!

  5. Chip says:

What a gorgeous Cliffs of Moher picture! Yay you.

    • Chatter Master says:

Thanks for the “yay” Chip! Very good eye! It does look like the Cliffs doesn’t it? Actually though, it is on the Aran Island Inis Mor. I am standing at the “Black Fort”. But I am thrilled you see the similarity. Sometimes when I look at the pictures of there, and the pictures from the Cliffs Of Moher the only way I can tell the difference is by what I am wearing! :)

  6. [...] http://bikecolleenbrown.wordpress.com/about/ I’M NOT VERY WITTY* Uhm.  That pretty much says it.  I am not very witty.  Though I love humor.  I can’t write funny.  But I can read funny.  I’ll write because I have something to say.  I’ll write because I need to physically write.  Love that process.  Sorry for anything dull.  Sorry for anything crappy.  But if you hit upon a gem…. YAY me! PATRECIA [...]

  7. That was a great ‘About me’ :) I didn’t realise you came from a big family. It sort of made me think of “that issue” – I hope you understand. If I were in your position, I would feel so sick, wondering “why ME”.

You’re wonderful, Colleen, very live & very positive.

I am just calling by from M3 (Red)
and I will be calling back to read some
of your postings, I think the adding of
a link in Red’s ‘Green Room’ will help
generate some new readers to your
Space and that will be interesting :)

    Have a wonderful start
    to your week my friend…

    Androgoth

    • Chatter Master says:

Thank you Androgoth. I appreciate the visit. I think M3′s generosity, setting up the Green Room, was brilliant. I’m excited you paid a visit. I will visit your site as well. I love finding new ‘reads’. And I hope your week is just as wonderful!

Hi Again Colleen! I’ve nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award on the basis that I love reading what you have to say. I look beyond your words and try to see more of you than you give away so I can feel a stronger bond in the spirit. Thank you for sharing your journey through life and for giving your readers some serious food for thought. I know that some of you do not accept awards, and some have received the same from others. Please receive it in the heart, if not through the usual channels! Best wishes always, Yaz.

I may have to have a little nap after reading about your large family! I have 2 kids, 3 cousins and only a handful of aunts/uncles. It makes sense that you need lots of coffee!! :-)

Lovely blog! Thanks for sharing your journey through life with us here. I too am in my forties, adore my hubby and two grown sons (well the youngest is 20 and he may be tall but still seems like a teen to me!). Looking forward to many more visits and would love to have you visit either (or both ;) ) of my humble blogs. Cheers! ~Gina

    Hello Chatter Master,

I would like to wish you a wonderful New Year. May 2013 bring you more happiness, love, and success. And in a country like Ireland, you are definitely lucky to have greater chances for success than in some parts of the world. I had a great time when I visited Ireland in 2009 and could not forget the wonderful people in there. Also, I would like to thank you because you continue following my blog. I hope my blog posts do not disappoint and that your visits in there have been a joyful ride. Thank you again, many blessings and much love to you. :-)

  20. Hey Colleen here’s my friends under cover site…i have to do this privately as he has found me and started bullying me. Could you pass it along to any who might be interested?

  21. Katie says:

Oh….I read your about … at first glance a lot of the things you talk about remind me of me…diet cokes, coffee, tea…the fact that you use the word ‘bazillion’…and of course Ireland.

And of course, thank you for visiting my blog today.

    • You are welcome Katie. Your name interested me. “Irish” is beautiful so when I see it, I follow to see what it is. Glad I did.

Thank you for coming along for a visit! :) I hope you come back for another visit!

      • Irish Katie says:

:) How can I not visit. A lover of Ireland must be someone I come to visit. (And yes, I have perused through your Ireland blog posts nod nods)

I live now though, in the Pacific NW, USA … it reminds me of home sometimes… the weather anyway.

        • That makes me happy, that it sometimes reminds you of Ireland. If Husband is out walking (he walks to and from work and at lunch) he sends me a text saying “Irish weather” or “Irish walking”. Many things remind us of the perfect little Island.

  22. I want to visit Ireland some day… I kind of am very busy with a project with a DeafBlind son…
    My blog http://www.kodiakmylittlegrizzly.com
I’m trying to teach people about DeafBlind, CHARGE Syndrome and Scoliosis and also how a family can love this little person so much.

  23. StephenEdwards reblogged something of yours and I came over to check it (and your blog) out. You have a wonderful way with words. I’ll be looking around some more if you don’t mind ;-)
    Warmly,
    Mary

  24. I am pleased to have found this blog this morning, in some circuitous fashion through Paulette (of Mildred Dunlap renown) I like your vibe! :)

    • Well Hello Charron’s Chatter (I like the name ;) )

Welcome, and I will check out your vibe as well. I do believe Paulette has gathered quite a bunch of admiring followers. WE must have wonderfulness in common! :)

  25. Shel says:

I’ve just nominated your blog for a Liebster Award. Please check out the details at http://http://shelbur10.wordpress.com/2013/03/11/the-weekend-of-the-liebster/ Whether or not you choose to participate, please know that you are appreciated! (here’s hoping that link works…not my strong suit.)

  26. Glad that I stumbled across your stylish ramblings.

Always enjoy a witty outlook on day to day life so I will be following with interest.

  27. Wait a minute. Do you have Tim Horton’s in Ireland?! We have hardly a one in America, just south of Canada, eh. How do you have Tim Horton’s all the way over there? (Clearly, I am quite upset by my own lack of Horton-ness.)

    • Hi Betsy! Thank you for stopping over here. :) Okay, I am starting to feel very bad. I need to go back and read my ‘about’ and my other stuff. I have misled MANY people to think I live in Ireland. OH HOW LOVELY that would be!

I live here in good ol’ USA. :)

I am fascinated with my heritage and ancestry and have been VERY blessed to travel to IReland four times now. Each time I think it is my last and I am truly happy with it.

Regarding Tim Horton’s….I did not find a full blown Tim Horton’s. BUT, I did find Tim HOrton’s “machines” in some convenience stops. So I truly understand your upset about lack of T. Horton!!!!

  28. Jessica says:

Love this description of yourself. Your blog name, too. And Diet Coke. Win!

  29. Just taped your follow button…I really enjoyed reading some of your stuff…keep’m coming. And, if you want you can check me out… Thanks
