Some days just start out better. There is nothing extraordinary about them. Nothing life altering or totally unexpected. Just better.
Like today. I have to go to work. Oops, wait. I get to go to work. I get up and ride my stationary bike on my stationary trainer. It’s light out. It’s perfectly cool and fresh out. Why aren’t I outside riding? Because I have to…er, get to, go to work.
I think I’ll ride my bike to work.
And when I get on my bike to ride.
It doesn’t matter where I am going.
Or why I am going there.
The physical act of riding is soothing. It makes me exert energy to live. And living with energy is the best way to live.
I’m happy to be going to work. I’m happy to be going to work on my bike. I’m happy I have the ability to do both.
I get to work in the same amount of time it would of taken me to drive.
But when I go home I’m going to go a different route. A longer route. And I will be glad to be going home. I will be glad to be going on home on my bike.
This is a very good day indeed.
Riding my bike makes everything better.
