Declaration. Proclamation. Dibs.

After losing the blogging rights to a golden opportunity yesterday I felt I needed to take drastic action.  And I do mean drastic.

When life happens it is full of surprise, humor, sadness.  Great moments from one end of the spectrum to the other.   And when life happens and I am there, I want it!   I want to share it, cry about it, laugh about it.  I want all rights to it!   I don’t want anyone outplaying me on the rules of dibs.   (By the way, well played yesterday’s character, and you know who you are.)  So in the most drastic of steps ever taken in blogdom I have decided to declare, proclaim and justifiably call dibs on all life lived out within my presence from here on out.

That’s right.  Since I call dibs on life right now for infinity you can not play the “what happens in this (insert name of town, city, suburb or other moniker given to a living environ) stays in this (insert name of town, city, suburb or other moniker given to a living environ).

Family?  Oh there is nothing sacred about family when it comes to blogging.  Family fights are perfect fodder.    Friends?  You know me, are you safe?  Safe with me.  Always.  But subject to blogging?  Always.  Boss and co-workers?  Come on, after getting fired for making bacon in my cube?  Fair game.  People who don’t know me?  Exactly, it doesn’t even matter.

So, Husband, children, siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, acquaintances, unknown strangers, clerks, politicians,  stupid insurance companies, medical professions, co-workers, angry drivers, party attenders, store go-ers, and generally the entire population of the world:

If it happens in front of me, if I hear it, see it, dream it, hear about it 1st, 2nd or 200th hand…. It is mine to talk about, write about, share via the blog.

It happens….I blog it.

You have been legally, morally, ethically, fair gamedly and thoroughly warned.

I have called the ultimate dibs.
