I’m not as good as I think I am.
I’m not as bad as I fear I am.
I’m not the best I’ll ever be.
I’m a lot better than I used to be.
Being in the middle ain’t so bad.

You are the yummy ham in between two tasty slices of multi-grain, perhaps?

Sometimes you seem kind of Nut(tella)y to me, Colleen. Only when you want to be.

Agreed – in our society the middle might be frowned upon when it really shouldn’t be!

No it shouldn’t Thomas. I am glad I’m not the worst at everything I do. But I know I’m not the best at everything either. And that doesn’t lessen my drive or desire to be better. Nor does it decrease the value in what I enjoy doing, or strive to do well. 🙂

Colleen, There were a lot of sweet remarks made of you for this post, all richly deserving I will add.. Smiling most of that works out LOL. I accept being in the middle as well (though I am the oldest). It’s a lot better than being on the bleeding edge, and more better than being at the end. Take care, Bill

Oh! I just said that about the end too! And who ever wants to be on the bleeding edge???? Does NOT sound like a destination spot to me!
Thank you Bill. 🙂

There are quite a few bloggers I have met through WordPress who I wish were my neighbors. You are one of them. I kind of like the middle as well.

Awwwwww! 🙂 You would fit right in to “Ittakesa”. It’s my lottery village I would build if I ever won the lottery. I would build my little village and fill it with wonderful people. If I wasn’t so lazy, I mean tired, I;d find it for you! (I wrote about it I mean!). 🙂
