What silly things come out when our fingers think they know, ahead of us, what we want to say. The PROBLEM is I don’t always edit before clicking on the magic button. Tsk. Tsk. Must try harder. Must slow down…
The timing…I am feeling the same way today, and I am really trying. In time though it often works out. Hopefully you are able to enjoy the present-less time? Sometimes it is rewarding in its own way I find. 🙂
It can be fun sometimes. Of course, we do have to come back to reality but still sometimes it serves this purpose and you have more in you to be present after. Like refueling or something?
I find it hard to be completely in the moment, even when I really think that I am ready to relax and go with the flow. The mind is such a busy beaver, sometimes!
Isn’t it though? It’s very very difficult to calm the mind. Ease the thoughts and just be with what is going on. SOmetimes I can. But more often…I cannot. 😉
I think sometimes the question is “present for what?” You are very insightful and I suspect you’re present when it’s important and maybe you just fade out when your mind needs a rest. 🙂
I have stood in your beautiful country and made MADE myself be very present with the breeze, the smells, the sights….so I could go back to it when I needed to from here. Probably the most present “place” I was ever in. Though here, I am most present in “moments”. 🙂
Touching my friend, your words truly speak to me – Thank you 🙂

Some (many?) times many of us are just not all there. Flow is not a permanent state. I find you colorfully present!

Thank you Eric. Fortunately my husband is forgiving for the all too often times I am not present. 😉

You talking about me? That’s exactly where I am today. Present-less.

❤ In reflection I am pretty certain you have too. And I probably said the same thing then!!!!!! Remember, I'm not always fully present.
Wow, that came full circle! 🙂

Ditto on that Tess. Obviously. 😉 I have long said I have 2 speeds: GO and STOP. It applies to writing and comment responding too.

It is so difficult to be fully present, even for a few minutes at a time. The mind is a traveler, and loves to wander. 🙂

And you are right about this too! I agree that not being fully present is enjoyable. Who doesn’t like to travel amongst thoughts and ideas and such???

There are places I go just to do this. One is where I walk regularly, it’s hard not to look around and just be. Other than that my mind is a motorway.
