Getting Beat Up

Getting Beat Up

I’m getting much better in life at not beating myself up.  But boy did I spend a lot of time keeping myself down.  I spent so much time doing it that I can easily spot it when others do it to themselves.  There are times when I would like to step in when a friend throws a punch, and block it, before it hits that friend solid.  Because the amazing thing about when we beat up on ourselves?

We never miss.

If you wouldn’t beat up on someone else, why are you doing it to yourself?

Be kind to yourself.

  1. After I got laid off … the bull’s eye I saw on my forehead when I looked in the mirror in the morning and the ammunition was right there underneath it in my brain! Wow. It was a great thing that my dear wife Karen was able to help me realize that was somebody else’s vision, not mine. Great story and BlogHead here, my friend Colleen. 🙂

    • Thank you Mark. And I appreciate anyone who manages to help us remove the bull’s eye off that we plant so firmly in place. Kudos to Dear Wife Karen. Man, with the targets others put on us, we don’t need to add to it.
