Love Affair

You are so beautiful.

And I don’t say that about every ball of gas I know.

Ball of Gas

I’ve missed you.

Reminds me of the They Might Be Giants song (“the sun is a mass of incandescent gas, a gigantic nuclear furnace…”). I was happy to see that big ball of gas, too. πŸ˜€

Oh yes! I got to see that ball of gas today. It was warm and inviting! Looking forward to more this week. (side note – Most men (and women like me with brothers) would likely think of “ball of gas” as something different entirely. haha)

    • Haha! I did think that when I wrote it. Five brothers and 2 sisters over here. And I did indeed think it. But did it anyway. As you can see….”someone” commented about it, and that WAS a brother! πŸ˜‰

Exactly, never thought of it that way before. The only ball of gas I love, too! Smiles! Now, I may burst into “You Are My Sunshine” as I walk home tonight from the library. I am making myself leave while there is light outside!
My youngest daughter and I went for a nice walk yesterday before our second round of parties. It was in the 40’s and felt warmer with the sun so brightly shining. Hope it keeps on going and doesn’t just ‘tease’ us for a week and turn cold again, Colleen!

    • Please do sing Robin! I pulled up the music to that and am pretending like I can play it on my guitar. At least in my head it sounds like it, so I am accompanying you while you sing! πŸ™‚

I will sing and you can accompany me both with instrument and voice, too. Off-key singing is the way my family “works!” So glad to have you smiling, too!
Today, as I left work, I sang an old song we used to sing in school, “Do Your Arms Hang Down?”
It continues, “do they wobble to and fro, can you tie them in a knot, can you tie them in a bow?Can you throw them over your shoulder like a good American soldier? do your arms hang low?” I meant it to suggest how tired my arms felt, but the listener took in a positive way and was saying, “Robin, this silly song we used to sing in third grade in Parma, Ohio.” (My one friend grew up closer to me, in Cleveland, but I did not meet her until I worked at the warehouse in 2008.)
Now, did you ever sing that song before? smiles!

I saw the picture first and I thought oh no, she didn’t. But you did! Who can resist commenting when the sun finally shows up again! But for us here, it’s back to rain every day until next week. Ugh. More mud for the dogs to track in.

This made me smile and chuckle. The sun continues to be a bit elusive here, but the temps are rising.

    • Oh I’m almost jealous! But I can’t be jealous because as I type this I see it peeking out this morning and I know it’s going to be shining here. So I have no need to be jealous, it’s always out there somewhere! πŸ™‚
