I tried to catch the mist.
And it played with me.
Like it might let me.
But it didn’t.
And I felt it a kindred spirit.
What a great photo! Did you take it?
I did. Just today, on a hike. It was a sunny day. The warmest in months. And the sunniest. We went on a hike in to the caves where there was still snow and ice and we could see our breath and “the mist”. 🙂 Thank you, an honor from you!!!! 🙂
You have a gift with words and images! 🙂
Thank you Doctor Momma. 🙂 This one was really playing in my head while the mist was tormenting me while I tried to catch it with the camera.
Nice shot Colleen! Yes, that mist, it never really does want to behave!
Thank you Marissa. Oh it was so wicked fun trying to capture it. I still never really did. It was so hard! It was about 60 to 70 degrees at the top of the caves. And maybe 35 to 45 down where we were. It was amazing. And I was trying everything I could to capture the mist. But I don’t think I quite got what I was wanting. It toyed with me!!!!
The shot looks amazing anyway!
Thank you! 😀

Interesting thought on mist…to compliment your super photo!
Thank you Koji! 🙂
Love it Colleen. It’s misty here, but not something pretty enough to photograph. Sun is supposed to be out, but I haven’t seen it yet. Haven’t given up hope though.
Thata girl Angie! Hope is everything! 🙂
A nice space !
Thank you Jaiello5….it is beautiful there 🙂
We had an icy crystal fog thing here yesterday, it looked quite magical and made my face damp almost immediately! Very unusual for this area. ❤
Those misty foggy things are mystical. We had a little fella with us and I told him we were in a magical land. He repeated it like it was a mantra. 🙂
Awww that’s so sweet Colleen. 🙂
Thank you Priceless 🙂
I love that mist is so “untouchable” and must give permission to play. Wonderful poem, Colleen.
Thank you Stacey! 🙂
What a beautiful statement on connecting with nature.
Thank you Paulette 🙂 It was such a relief to connect yesterday. 🙂
This is very poetic of you, Colleen! Wonderful way of telling so much about how close you are to nature.
Thank you Robin. Last year was a wonderful one for getting out on some hikes for me. I hope this year is even better. AND ALWAYS MORE BIKING IS WELCOME! 🙂

What a great photo, Colleen. It must have been a wonderful hike!
Thank you Debra. It was quite splendid! A 70 degree day that ended in a cave with ice and snow. 🙂 Nice little surprise! 🙂
Lovely image, and I too love, love, mist 🙂
It’s fun and mysterious isn’t it? Thank you. 🙂
