Hahaha! I would say, “Isn’t that the truth!” But it would be like a broken record. Haha! We are out looking for the “meaning to life” thinking we are so intelligent to be looking for something so admirable. HA! Guess what we find instead?
There is so much about myself that I still don’t fully understand or know. Going through new experiences often shows us sides of ourselves that we didn’t know existed.
Yes. Just last week I looked at a friend of mine and said “you know what? I react emotionally, not intellectually. I do not process before I react”. This was in regards to “work”. It was something I had been struggling with to explain to myself, and I tripped right over it. I know certain things about myself but don’t always know how to apply them to other ‘parts’ of my life. Amazing what we learn and put together….
Just when I feel I am trying to ‘get away’ from being me, I am me. This is a ‘twist’ on your thought, but I found this to be true over the Easter holiday. Smiles!
๐ I am trying to embrace what it is I’m finding out about me. THAT is a process as well. It ain’t easy Robin! ๐ Bumping in to that kind of familiar person to realize – oh – maybe that is exactly what and who I am. Well then, okay, let’s make this work. Many smiles for both of us!
Interesting Huck, one of the things, is how I respond. I’ve always been ‘quick’ to respond, and bothered by that. I’ve come to discover that’s not a bad thing. I just need to know how to make it work for me. ๐
whenever i read you, i must say it inspired me i don’t know why but i think life isn’t what you understand about yourself its about how you understand the others
Thank you Saurabh. I agree life is about understanding others, but in doing that , I learn so much more about myself. It’s a positive cycle for me. That is my hope any way. ๐
I find it interesting that the very simplest of understandings occur and I am gobsmacked as to why they didn’t occur to me before. ๐ Hence, the moments I run right in to myself. ๐
๐ I guess that means we’re both still looking and moving forward, or in some direction or other Nancy.
(By the way, I hope job wise it’s forward. My husband is doing substitute teaching and is actually loving it. Loves the diversity and challenge of it. I hope you are getting good news on your end.)
I have a little saying reserved for myself when I run into myself…..uhduh, har, har. I think we sometimes try to make things hard when they are truly simple.
