I went to a bridal shower today. The bride to be asked the bride of forty plus years for any advice. She offered it kindly and without hesitation: Don’t keep a score card.
Definitely the wisest words I have seen on the subject. As an old German saying goes, Too soon old, Too last smart. By it is nice to gain some wisdom regardless! 🙂
Wise indeed!

I’d hate to be in a marriage where only one of us wins. Shudder.

Great advice. Without score cards there can be three winners: Both spouses and their relationship.

Ha! If it makes you feel better…I forget ALL the time! Husband, on the other hand, remembers EVERY thing! 🙂

I like to forget more these days, sleep on my thoughts and realize the next day, they don’t amount to a ‘hill of beans,’ Colleen!

It’s a better person, who doesn’t keep score. Once she said that people I know started running through my head and I knew exactly what she meant.
