And then there is grandparenting…..
Aw, sweet. 🙂 Reminds me of my grandmothers.
😀 How wonderful!!!!!!!
This was such a similar way of how I look at parenting. Trying to share or even erase.the pains. xo
Right? If the kids knew….would we give them our joys and take their pains? Absolutely! I know we shouldn’t take all of their pains. But there is a large part of us that wants to.
They say parenting is grandma’s revenge!
Hahahahahahahaha! I am starting to see that!!!! 😉
There is indeed. My favorite job of all!
😀 If only we could make those trades Russ.
Love this! 🙂
Thank you Doc Momma 🙂
I am much more relaxed as a grandparent than I was as a parent. ❤ ❤ ❤ I do spoil my granddaughters, but not with 'things'.
Your comment resonates with me. “Relaxed” is a perfect way to describe my grandparenting.
You get to send them home and put your feet up where you could not as a parent. 🙂
Amen Sista’ Grandma!!!! ❤
😀 😀 😀
It doesn’t mean when they are involved with things you don’t get involved emotionally, not less than your own children were growing up… The love and total involvement never diminishes… Go figure. 😮 ❤
Sometimes it’s even more difficult. Being so far away (not the same house in some situations, or even the same town or city or country!) It never does diminish. ❤
Ahhh, that is so sweet! Trading two joys for one heartache, if only it could be that easy! Love this Colleen.
Right? 🙂 I would do it. Probably more than I should.
I love this!
🙂 Thank you April.
If only someone would make that trade!
🙂 We would probably lose our parenting membership cards if we kept taking all of our kids suffering away. I suppose we have to let them go through ‘some’ stuff. But man oh man, sometimes I would gladly trade my joys for their pains. Gladly.
Thank you! 🙂
Oh! I love this, CM. ❤ ♥♥♥
Thank you Robin! ❤
Great trades, MBC. You know that’s the way it works in the big world of bringing up our kids. 🙂
