We drove up a mountain.
Took a slight detour.
And found an isolated over look.
We stared at the beauty of God’s work.
Found steps.
Climbed up.
Found yet another path to get further ‘up’.
There sat a man.
Quietly.
I apologized
And recognized he had gone all this way to find isolation.
Then people showed up.
I said “damn people”
He laughed.
And said
“Don’t jump”.
I hadn’t intended to,
But I did leave.
