Intrusion

We drove up a mountain.

Took a slight detour.

And found an isolated over look.

We stared at the beauty of God’s work.

Found steps.

Climbed up.

Found yet another path to get further ‘up’.

There sat a man.

Quietly.

I apologized

And recognized he had gone all this way to find isolation.

Then people showed up.

I said “damn people”

He laughed.

And said

“Don’t jump”.

I hadn’t intended to,

But I did leave.

Dont Jump

That is a beautiful view, and all were good humored which is nice. An advantage to hiking during the week is at times you are less likely to be crowded by people. Something so mellowing about solitude and nature. Simply beautiful. 🙂

I’m not sure that isolation is possible, even when one tries. If it was public property, you both had rights to view it. Beautiful pic, Colleen.

  3. Right, if there’s one thing I hate more than annoying people it’s being the annoying people!

  4. Pure serenity with the exception of the fellow who thought you were going to jump. Beautiful shot.

  7. Beautiful spot Colleen and not easy to find without meeting other with same kind of thought. Thanks for staying and sharing 😀

  8. You are so kind that you didn’t want to invade this man’s “space.” A beautiful photo of a beautiful view!

  9. So sweet of you to let that man be. And that view is spectacular. 🙂

Wow! What a place. Quite a vision, MBC. Nice of you to leave. You are thoughtful that way. But …
The spot was up for grabs, you know. Somebody upstairs put it there for all to share. 🙂 ❤

This was a lovely overlook and it reminded me of the movie Robin Williams and Cuba Gooding, Jr. were in, “What Dreams May Come.” Gorgeous, peaceful especially without people there. . . Darn them!! 🙂
