My Old Friend I Just Met.
One of us just ran a marathon.
One of us did not.
I will leave that up to you to figure out.
One humongous world
Made smaller
With words
That bring people together.
Thank you internet
For being a tool of compassion
Kindness
Humanity
And
Friendship.
People are really as good as you imagine they are.
❤
i love your last line – so true )

I don’t know Colleen. He looks a lot more relaxed than you. And the collared shirt…all wrong for a marathon. No, I know I’m a genius.

Ha! You are definitely a genius Marissa. But we know better about who ran that marathon now don’t we?

I would think so.

Hahahahahahahahaha! 🙂 She sure looks like a runner. But she was definitely there to support him. So that counts, right?

I’ve met a lot of online friends over the years and have only had one negative experience. I truly believe in your last line. ❤

hhmmm, not a bead of sweat on either of you – I think whichever one of you ran that marathon, ran it very, very slowly 😆

Hahahahahaha! In fairness to the runner (him!) the race had been over for many hours! 🙂

Ran the marathon. I’ll take my bet and put it on… your friend. For no other reason but the fact that you have a blog and apart from life on your bike I’ve never heard you mention running.

You are correct Tric! I have mentioned running before, but in my “I always fail at it” kind of way. 😉

I like Diana’s word above — a blessing. Meeting Colleen and husband David was a wonderful conclusion to a great marathon weekend with my Michelle and my son Dan. I guess we do owe it to technology in general and WordPress in particular for bringing us together. Colleen and David are every bit as nice as I expected. Life can be very, very good when you hang out with very, very good people. Cheers!

Me too. 🙂 And have to say, I really enjoyed the most minor part of the whole meeting, the food! And I NEVER EVER say food is the minor part! 🙂

Jim looks like a runner, you look like a multi-talented biker, social worker/ counselor, guitarist, artist,. . . Etc. and a great friend! You look so happy and it is nice to find out those you had high expectations of, turn out to be every bit as special as you imagined. Congratulations for running the Columbus Marathon, Jim! (and family, too ) 🙂
