Just Salad And Pepperoni Poppers

We sat around a table.

Just the four of us.

Talking.

Laughing.

Preparing to share a meal.

And with ease and comfort and no hesitation

Hands were grasped.

Heads were bowed.

And a prayer was said-

A prayer of thanks

A prayer of hope

A prayer for love.

And in the most simplest of acts-

A moment of praise

Tied us together forever

In a blessed memory.

Holding Hands

Β In it’s simplicity

It is everything.
