It Doesn’t Take Much

It was gray.

Cold.

Colorless.

For three days.

Then

It snowed.

Then

We saw some light.

Then

We gave thanks.

For the grey, the cold, the light.

And the hot tub.

It doesn’t take much.

To make me happy.

The beauty of happily existing.
