And the world
Until the child
Defined and inspired
You never know!
We don’t know but we are excited with the potential ! 😉
A child is potential. You never know what you’re going to get!
Curious, how did That Child define and inspire? There’s more to these introductory words. Is this a generalization, Colleen, or reference to a specific gift?
That child, is a generalization modeled on a reflection.
Inspirational Colleen. Brilliant. That could have been Socrates or Christ or Mohammed or Copernicus or Mendelssohn etc. Or it could be you Colleen or the kid next door. (Or Life of Brian – ha!)
That said, your words are also metaphorically describing quantum mechanics – there are an infinite number of potential outcomes and when the child chooses one – which quite often is not related to anything else – it is actualized and becomes real.Until the choice is made all options are equally real.
Amazing Colleen. Thank You.
Thank you Paul. How’s come I sound SO much smarter after reading your comments about what I wrote/drew?
Your comment should be a post…… 🙂
Your post is awesome Colleen – you chose a frame that is never used and it simplifies things so so much. It is a perfect of example of the belief that all things are simultaneously far more complex than we can imagine and far simpler than we can imagine.
You are my absolute favorite today Paul. Thank you. That is exactly what I hope to portray when I do posts like this.
there is always hope for everyone. if we just give them a chance.
Hope and excitement. They have potential. 🙂
Such a beautiful reminder that our children are the hope of the future and need to be nourished heart and soul. That we have the responsibility to tend these lovely gardens lest they lay fallow Its up to us ! Lovely and inspiring writing Colleen:) xx
Thank you Heart! 🙂
It is up to us to encourage them all to flourish. Every single one of them.
yes indeed! it’s the most important thing we can do. Unfortunately so many are too busy these days, look around, you can tell.
How did we get so busy??????
trying to survive, but we must have priorites.
We are trying to do that. Put the priorities back in….which STILL keeps us super busy!
Tell me about. It’s really sad.
I am so heartfull when I see parents who parent, and children who are allowed to be children because of it.
I love the mystery of this poetic post.
😉 Thank you Julie.
I love how the child inspired and defined remarkable! Every child has that potential! 🙂
They do Priceless, they really do. 🙂
A child can become non-descript just by believing in themselves. Nice job on this one! Well, every post you write is a joy, but I like this one for the reminder about the inner child we all have to believe in.
Thank you so much April. And we must believe in the potential and the hope. We must.
The wonder and mystery that unfolds with a growing child is something special to behold. You’re so lucky you have a large family to witness this over and over. ❤
I do get to see it a lot Paulette. I’m amazed at what these kids do and will be doing. It’s a joy to see.
Thank you for the excellent message and reminder, Colleen.
You’re welcome Russ 🙂
We never know do we?
We don’t. But each child is hope. 🙂
yes that is for sure!
This was very nicely written so everyone could picture the “one” who is closest to them, becoming “That Child” through our own eyes. The open-endedness to this post makes it exciting and full of joyful beginnings and possibilities. ❤ Colleen.
Thank you Robin. I was hoping it would evoke emotions in everyone for a child they know, or a child they see in their classroom, or in their neighborhood. They all matter and should know that.
