Sometimes I feel
Like a fish out of water
In my own life.
That’s not always a bad thing.
But it’s never comfortable.
Trying to fly when all I’ve ever done is swim.
You wonder where you turned wrong. Hold your breath and dog paddle. It will sort itself out 🤔
🙂 It’s all we can do sometimes!
Ha! Great graphic Colleen. I love your drawings. Indeed, that is often not a bad thing – to feel outside your comfort zone.
Thank you Paul. Yes, to be out of that comfort zone can lead to some pretty wonderful things/moments.
i think we all have those moments, hang in there and you’ll be comfortable once again.
🙂 And hopefully comfortable with something new. 🙂
I love your quirky art.
😀 Thank you!! You have no idea how happy that makes me. 🙂
I think we all feel that way at times, love the drawing!
Thank you Lynn. I’m sure we all do. 🙂 It’s not always a bad thing. Keeps us on our toes. Or fins, I guess. 🙂
yes so true!
You feel that way until you realize you really are a bird after all and flying is easy! Cute post!
Thank you Priceless. I know. I never know if I don’t try. Right? 🙂
Your art is superb. It tells your story even without the words. 😀 ❤ ❤
Thank you Tess!!!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
You are welcome, Colleen. ❤
Growth and meaning reside in the uncomfortable Colleen 💛
That is the absolute truth Val. 🙂
Love the thought and the imagery! ❤
Thank you Holly! ❤
I know that feeling. Your art says it. 🙂
Thank you Paulette ❤

🙂 You always did get me. 🙂
Profound and great, funny picture. Plus, gosh, that’s a beautiful shade of blue!
Thank you PIF. I enjoyed making this. I sketched at lunch and couldn’t wait to get home and try the colors. I think I pretty well matched what I saw in my head. 🙂
I love how you find ways to express how I feel, some days, er, well most days this month. Most of all, it is in your art that I find fun, quirk and truth. That blue is everywhere in my life btw.
Thank you MM !!! I am quite humbled that I can say anything that others can relate to. So thank you for that. I hope it’s a good blue. And that you are enjoying that discomfort in finding new things to love and do. 🙂
As an aside Collen, I just did a guest post over at Mark Bialczak’s. I would be honored if you had the time to drop by for a read. https://markbialczak.com/2016/05/22/no-violins/comment-page-1/#comment-79841 Thank You.
I have swum upstream more than flown my whole life, sad to say! I am looking forward to flying!!
You appear to be doing some flying Robin. Creatively!!!
Look at all you learn when you are out of your comfort zone.
So very much APril. 🙂
