Out Of Doing Something

I’ve learned

That I don’t have to be very good

To get a whole lot of enjoyment

Out of doing something.

Ha! So very true Colleen. The last research I read was clear that people do not get as much enjoyment from the things they do well naturally as they do from those things they have to work at. Which makes sense since it is achievement and growth that produces endorphins – not being good.

  2. I agree! If I had to be good at doing something before I could enjoy it, there wouldn’t be much enjoyment in my life. πŸ™‚

That’s so true, I adore your art too.

  4. Exactly. Whatever makes your heart sing, always does the trick. ❀ ❀ ❀
    Love the picture, Colleen. πŸ˜€

  5. For me, that’s more important, to enjoy what I’m doing–the process, rather than the rating of it. πŸ™‚

I have found that its not in the doing itself, but how it feeds our soul as we do it that brings the joy πŸ’•

  7. Funny because this can be taken too ways…you bad girl, you!

  8. Love your illustration, Colleen. And to your words I would respectfully (and pleasingly) add… Out of doing nothing. πŸ™‚

Kicking back, relaxing and making music is fantastic! Or whatever makes someone happy. . .

Oh I completely agree. I am not good at too many things but I enjoy my stupidities as much as I enjoy things I might be good at (I’m still wondering if there are things like that!)…Have an amazing week ahead!
