Watch Your Step

Even a path taken before

Is a new path

When you walk it again.

Been There

The path never remains exactly the same

And our steps are never exactly replicated.

Oh yes indeed! I was thinking this on the route home from the train station today, oddly enough. I found myself walking down a street when I suddenly stopped because I honestly had no recollection of getting there. I had missed the entire walk because my mind was elsewhere and I felt really disengaged with my surroundings. And I thought, I’ve walked this route countless times and each time was an entirely different experience. Today I was in a dreamworld but last week I noticed every gum spot and crevice. Life is such a surreal journey.

    • That has happened SO often (too often!) to me. My mind wanders and even though I am on familiar ground, not knowing how I’ve gotten there leaves me disoriented. I get this!!!!!

It is all of these steps that make life such an exciting journey.

I’ve sure repeated my steps many times! I hope to at least learn something a little different along the way. I “hope to” but can’t always say that I do. Sometimes I have to run into an obstacle first. 🙂
