The Weight of Advantage

I have found that

Finding and evolving

Self confidence

Is not burden free.

Some burdens

Can give you an advantage.

And the weight of advantage

Can give you an edge.

  1. If you say so – it must be true! 🙂 🙂

  2. “the weight of advantage”- I like that.

  3. That made me think of a favourite bible verse: Matthew 11:28-30

    • Peter, thank you. I think your verse explained what I was feeling. Confidence is something that we of course benefit from, but with confidence (and most good things) comes a weight of it’s own. And the weight is not a ‘bad’ thing, but a responsibility kind of thing. I can’t paraphrase that verse well enough … it speaks perfectly on it’s own. Thank you.

Confidence is good in every way. I am less sure about the weight of advantage. I may be too honest, Colleen. 🙂

    • 🙂 I think confidence is good. I don’t use the word “weight” as a negative here. More as a term like ‘responsibility’. I think with all of our personal tools we have a responsibility to use our tools well, as wisely as possible. (And wisdom is not easily come by in my head! 😉 )
