This is so true. We used to tell our sons that they could hammer a nail in a board, pull it back out again and the board would be nail free……the hole would still be there. Just like in life…the consequences of our actions are still evident.
Not one of us is. . .thanks!
It still will bother me inside because I’m a worrier, as you and I have admitted. So, maybe a counselor told me to let things go to try and prevent my worrying too long (?)

Some seem to think that since they have apologised that makes everything all right!

I’ve probably been guilty of that too Peter. Fortunately some wisdom does come with this aging process.

Yes! I think a lot of people think forgiveness is forgetting. I had that confusion for years.

I’ve used that in the past myself. I think it is the best description of words said, actions taken, that can’t be taken back. Thank you!

It’s funny how easy it is to pretend there aren’t consequences for our actions! You nailed it!

Thank you Debra. It took me awhile to learn what forgiveness really meant.

Aww, I have been taught to “let go” and “mistakes and hurts are to be forgiven since nobody’s perfect.” 🕊 💕

I have tried asking myself “what is worrying about this going to accomplish” and that has actually started to help some.

Good help for my own worrying. I have been trying to remember time is precious and try to think of better things. Sometimes this helps. . .
