The Storm

Sitting here,

Waiting for the storms to roll in,

Knowing I am subservient to the power,

I still sit.

Wait.

Watch.

And marvel.

Not at it’s power.

I marvel

At my ability to withstand it.

And remain,

Long after it is gone.

Your storm.Β  My storm.

Oh Colleen, It’s dark and gloomy here too, but I’m tune with the storm, and found this glorious song for you.

    • I wrote this as a storm was rolling in….I was sitting on the front porch… and thinking about things people I care about are going through. Just seemed to be a perfect fit.

As always, thank you for the music!

I hope you are safe. Storms are beautiful and dangerous.

They do batter our resolve, MBC, and there we are bouncing up.

  5. I hope you and yours are safe. ❀️

    • We are Paulette, thank you! This storm came rolling in. While I was sitting and thinking about others. It all worked well together. To remind me of our resolve and our strength.

  6. Some are beautiful, some frightening, all are powerful, and awesome. Thankfully, most pass us by!

  7. Beautiful! Indeed which one is truly ferocious and tenacious? The storm or our capacity to ride it…

  8. Love this stormy write.

I got excited when the thunder started rumbling on the roof of my auto parts warehouse, Colleen! Two thoughts crossed my mind, one positive (maybe the electricity would go out) and negative (could the storm please destroy the building but leave all of us workers alive?) πŸ€—

Aargh! We haven’t had any storms in a long, long time…again! But other tempests? Yep…I get that! πŸ™‚ Withstanding is a necessity.

  11. Yes! That’s been another one of my new revelations. Stuff gets awful for a time, but then it’s over, and I’ve survived. The pain of it is hard to remember after a time.
