This is so true, Colleen. Kids don’t listen, what we do, they copy our behavior.

I see it time and time again. I am often horrified at what children say from what they have been exposed to.

At my age, I remain, proudly confused.
It’s the best thing about me.

I am glad I am not alone. I sometimes wonder when someone is going to call me out for pretending to be an adult.

That is why I’ve pushed back from what I was told and now make my own world. Yet still, those niggling “old” habits do pop up that I was taught and I have to see them in order to squash them and make new. Awesome post, Colleen!!

I love that Sheri. It really says a lot about what we expose our children to.

To do otherwise feels cruel to me! We need to hear what comes out of our adult mouths…and ask who is listening!

AMEN! People would be ASTOUNDED at what children tell me.

This reminds me a little of the time, years ago, when I was telling my husband something that had happened during the day, and my young daughter chimed in with, “And then did you say, ‘What the hell?!'” Oops.
