and it’s the act itself that is important, not the voice. I sing to my class all the time and they never get older than 5 so they think I’m a virtuoso.
Your children and grandchildren will always have that memory, and what a wonderful memory that will be. I always had music on for my children, and to an extent I’d sing along, but not in the purposeful way you’re describing. I wish now I could back and add that in. I think it’s so special. π
Thank you Debra. My parents played music, A LOT, in our home. I don’t remember them singing so much either. But I remember the music, and them. Actually their music is what I usually sang and played for my kids. Just from that experience I would bet your kids remember you for the same thing. π
Totally! I still remember the day I asked my daughter if she’d like me to sing to her before her nap, as I normally did, and she said no. I was like, She’s finally discovered the truth! π

So true. The generations repeat. My oldest sings to my granddaughter now, and I’m sure he has a better voice than mine!

And to her, it’s perfect. Just like you were for him. I love the family tradition. π

Oh my gosh. Sounds familiar. Though mine was more in eye rolls and faster falling asleep times π€

LOL! Faster falling asleep! Haha. My kids weren’t that clever. A little more blatant and quick to say No to my question.
