Awwwww. Colleen. I read your words and I racked my brains thinking of all the strangers I see on a daily basis and thinking.. hmm nah, they don’t impact me THAT much…and then I saw your image and then my heart smiled and sung. Because you were not referring to a stranger at all. And I DO know what you mean. And I DO have a someone I see often and take for granted. And I must go and give him a silent hug now. Thank you for this. You have filled my heart today. Grateful for loved ones β€
Thank you for your words OB. I’m glad you shared that with me. And I catch myself not being in the moments of the important (because it is right in front of me).
I’ve been so separated from dear friends and family members over the past several months, and I have this very thought almost daily! I think I took for granted many people, places, and things as “theyll always be here,” and I no longer think that at all!!
I understand Debra. Such a ‘spot’ you have been in. Removed to care for someone you love with all you have, having to be removed from others who love and support you. It’s a vicious cycle. But also, a very emotional and brilliant one. I heard someone say the other day “every blessing is a curse, every curse is a blessing”.
I bought a clock today
To hang under my verandah
Now time is close at hand
Giving notice of her demands

This hit me hard Ivor. For many reasons. I hope all is well. And I know she would want you to be well and happy. π
