Couldn’t agree more! I am a catalyst and bring change in many areas of my life and workplace, but there have been times when didn’t. On hind sight, I think that I coulda, shoulda, done, or said something. And perhaps we are all guilty of apathy in some way or the other, in some situations or circumstances.
I often write some of these things after a reflection, epiphany or somber realization of my own life/world. I know I am ‘guilty’. But with it comes, hopefully, new behaviors. That’s my personal hope from my writing journey.
You have captured such a strong and worthwhile admonition, Colleen. It’s a short step between burnout and apathy, and so thank you for this attention-getting warning!

Yes. I believe that too. My writing too helps me to move on a bit wiser and changed in some way. Thank you for these insightful posts.

You’re welcome Debra. The word itself, apathy, intrigues me. It is not a ‘good’ thing.
