YES! I didn’t know this feeling until my first time by the ocean. And wow. It struck me at how I now understood how people are pulled to the ocean/rivers.
Your words inspired me to create a pondering form of something……temporarily, or maybe permanently, I have called it “A certain circularity”
I mistook a babbling brook
for magical wizardry.
It was as powerful, if not more so!
Conjuring dreams and sublime thoughts
it was as powerful, if not more so.
For magical wizardry
I mistook a babbling brook.
Reminded me of sitting by a lake recently watching the glistening ripples. Didn’t want to leave ever – the peace and the quiet were divine. I love how you talk about the ease and the rushing water together, the power and the authority.
I believe rivers are very spiritual Colleen ..

I agree with you Ivor. I don’t often have the chance to be by a river. But yesterday I did. And I greatly enjoyed it. And thank you for the song.

On a windy day when the lake currents are stirred up I try to stand and watch a little longer for the similar pull, MBC!

That’s exactly how I feel when I am at the ocean – any ocean, like its the heart of the very pulse of life.

That does sound difficult to leave. Especially if there’s a lovely cooling wind on a warm day.
