No so much fun for me. All the boys would only let me skate if I stayed by the wash stand and was the nurse in case they got hurt. So seldom skated and they never got hurt. Borrrrring
What a lovely memory for you, but I think what melts my heart is that wouldn’t we all want to know that when we’re gone we have left impressions just this sweet with others we have met along life’s journey. This was beautiful to read, Colleen.
Thank you Debra. I kind of believe (without knowing why I believe it) that when we think of others who have passed, they know it, they feel it and they know they haven’t been forgotten. Again, thank you for your kind words.

That brought back memories of our back yard rink in the 50s and made me smile

Well that just isn’t right. Stupid boys (that’s a throw back comment to my own youth that was filled with brothers and neighborhood boys 🙂 )

I felt transported as well- to your friend’s pond and her youth, with snippets of our own childhood days on a frozen pond mingling in the imagery ❤

It is just so lovely to listen to old stories and then remember them way later, when we have a trigger moment.
