I get called Adrian all the time. I find it quite endearing given that my beloved uncle of the same name was my childhood hero. Sadly he died aged 44 — way too young.
I am unfortunately caught in embarrassment more times than I can tell you, simply incapable of remembering a name, and all too often I might not even recall the initial introduction. I am a very sympathetic character when it happens to others! 🙀
I do like the name Penny. After I posted my comment, I saw someone else did the same joke. Dang. Gotta be quicker next time–like a ninja! You won’t see me or hear me coming. 🙂
