Wherever You Go-I Can Be There Too

This is just something that fascinates me to no end.  I’ve posted before about it so forgive me.

It was not that many years ago that when someone packed up and left their home country they would likely never see their home country, their home, or the family left behind, ever again.   Ever.  Letters were sparse because paper and stamps were a luxury.

Now?  We don’t even have to write a letter or buy a stamp.  We can get on our computers or our phones and have instant contact with family across the state, across the country, across the world.  Sadly, even across the room.

Is no one else as amazed by that as I am?  We don’t ever need to lose touch with anyone if we don’t want to.  Depending on who you are and why you moved so far away from family that can be a blessing or a curse.   It’s amazing, whatever your reason.

Technology.  The curse of it and the joy of it.   Such conflicting emotions.
